Robbery Vs. Rape

Sort of a dark and sad title huh?

Well, the title is about government. That makes it even more dark and sad. Let me expound.

Many hate government. Whether its for taking money away or for intruding into one's personal life, everybody seems to have a reason to hate government.

Two big news events have made this clear to me.

Over the weekend, the biggest gathering of conservatives outside of NASCAR gathered for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. What did they scream about? Socialism. That government is too big. Government should not take money from its citizens. Barack Obama is robbing you blind.

Earlier today, a large group protested in Raleigh over gay marriage. Guess what? They're conservatives. So what do they want? They want the government to pass a law that bans people from doing something that they want to do. I imagine there was somebody who was at both the CPAC and this protest. If I were a real reporter, I'd try to find this person and interview him or her.

So, you have a group of people that believes it is a crime for government to take a citizen's money. This same group, does not believe it is a crime to make a person be somebody that they are not.

Think about it.

If you do not allow gay people to marry. If you force them to believe that heterosexuality is the only moral option. If you coerce a homosexual to marry a person of the opposite sex. What will happen?

I believe you will have homosexuals living shadow lives. They will marry a person they do not love. They will have sex with people, even though they would rather not consent to it?

Wait? They will have sex with people, even though they do not consent?

What is that?

Rape is sexual intercourse with a partner that does not consent.

These protesters are advocating rape.

So, it appears to me, that everybody is a crook. What kind of crook is based on their political ideology.

Liberals are robbers.

Conservatives are rapists.

Bottom Line?

Perhaps it is a stretch. But did it provoke thought? I hope.
